Minutes from the team meeting Oct. 9, 2002:

Summary of Discussion topics:
Nick - NOX should be liquid. But, NOX is gaseous at 300K and a liquid at
292K

LabScale:
Otto wants 4 labscale tests. Need to vary only two parameters, flow rate
and burntime. Therefore, we need an ACCURATE method to time/control burn
time.
Will be <12 inches in length
Will be ~3 inch diameter
Need ignition system (stick with ammonia percholoate, aluminum mesh (?),
propane and match)

TO DO:
Mike: understand last year's ignition system
Otto: HTPB pressure dependance, flow rate info
Nick: mech dept. testing, feed system cooling (?)
Erica: EEF
Dustin: Nozzle material, silane
Tala: Find the Labscale paper

Action Items:
-Ignition for labscale
-precision timing for labscale
-HTPB pressure dependance
-nozzle material for labscale, as it won't be a real "nozzle"
-IPDI/water contamination
-sprinkler system pipes
-mech. combustion lab (pending answer from Mel Branch)

So that's a brief run-down on what we talked about. People may be meeting
sometime on Sunday. I'm going to submit the EEF proposal tomorrow.
