Labscale The pre and post combustior sections, nozzle flanges, fuel plugs and mandrils have been machined. We still need a hydrolic test piece for the pressure drop test, 4 nozzles (the graphite has finally arrived), and the injector heads. Mike and Dustin need to find a machine shop capable of EDM for the injector heads. For the feed system, we have a check valve. We still need a flow regulator and nitrous bottle. The pressure drop test needs to be done. Mike and Xalin will complete the steel wool ignition system. The test location is still up in the air. Will wait until the end of the week to hear from Pioneer. Pressure transducers from last year are fried and there is a meeting with Walt tomorrow to order new sensors. The last fuel mold release tests are done using silicon and graphite sprays - unsuccessful. Will be using plastic wrap. Will wait to order HTPB until ready for full size rocket. II. By end of week: 4 nozzles completed 2 fuel castings pressure drop test EDM machine shop found thermocouple casings researched order pressure transducers documentation plan (forms) drawing organization test site ignition system III. Schedule CDR: Get started early and present as late as possible (early Dec.) Thanksgiving Break: Want labscale finished and ready to test by end of break. Mike and Erica will be gone all break.
